Effective date: February 20, 2025
4G Consulting, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates The GovCon Finance OS newsletter and the website at 4gconsultingllc.com. We are based in Maryland, United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal jargon. If you have questions, email us anytime at [email protected].
We collect information directly from you in a few different situations:
Newsletter subscriptions and free resources. When you subscribe to our newsletter or download a free resource, we collect your email address, and optionally your first and last name.
Product purchases. When you purchase a digital product, we collect your name, email address, and billing information. Your payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
Website and email analytics. We automatically collect standard website analytics, such as which pages you visit, the site that referred you, your general location, and your device type. We also track email engagement data, such as whether you open our emails or click links inside them.
We use the information we collect to: deliver the newsletter issues and free resources you've requested; process and fulfill product purchases; understand how people use our site and emails so we can improve them; and respond to questions you send us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties so they can market to you directly.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run our business:
beehiiv — hosts our website, manages our email list, and processes product sales on our behalf.
Payment processor — connected through beehiiv, this processor handles all card transactions and payment data securely.
These providers only use your information to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to keep it running smoothly. Our emails contain small tracking pixels and links that let us see whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this information in aggregate to understand what content is useful and to improve future emails — not to monitor any individual in a way that affects them personally.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it will remove you from our list, and we honor unsubscribe requests immediately — no further action is needed on your part.
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Just email [email protected] and we'll respond promptly.
We keep subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you resubscribe or in case we need it for record-keeping purposes. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just reach out using the contact information above.
We rely on reputable service providers, including beehiiv and its connected payment processor, who maintain industry-standard security measures to protect your data. That said, no method of storing or transmitting data online is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but encourage you to also use good judgment when sharing personal information online.
Our website and newsletter are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Our site may contain links to third-party websites. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.
If you live in certain U.S. states or countries, you may have additional rights over your personal data under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This can include the right to know what data we hold, request its deletion, or object to certain uses. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing [email protected].
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. For any significant changes, we'll also let you know via a notice on our website or in a newsletter email.
